For politicians the word "WAR" is very usefull.

Let's name a few wars which have NOT been wars: The war on poverty, The war on drugs, The war on terror, and biggest of all The Cold War. None of these wars was actually a war. There were no armies marching accross battlefields. It would be very helpfull to the quality of the debate, to name these things better.

I personally am using the name "the Bush-Chenney war" to describe what was at one time the invasion and occupation of an oil-rich nation, but is now really just a civil war in the middle east (one that is just getting started, once it heats up the blood will really flow), although it may quickly morph into a regional war between the Saudi-led Sunnis and the Iranian-led Shiites. but "the Bush-Chenney war" is really the best name.

There IS the most classified black budget UFOs and aliens political, and military issue that requires baucoup $$$. We, the people are supposed to be kept completely in the dark about it. The phoney cold war was and the phoney war on drugs was/is a BIG part of the the method for funding those projects. U.S government insiders have been/are selling drugs and using huge sums of money from that to fund black budget UFO/aliens programs. Of course, it goes beyond that. Once involved in "offical" illegal activity, there are no limits.

Remember the bushies actively tried to rename it "The Long War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_War_%2821st_century%29)" for about 5 minutes?

agreed. "Iraq war" doesn't distinquish itself from other Iraq conflicts. "Bush-Chenney war" links to it's unique components, i.e. lies, oil, halliburton, etc..

While we are at it. I don't recall anyone ever declaring WAR but I do recall hearing that we were obligated (by the U.N.?) to do so when we invaded. Anyone have more info?

and how many ways were we indeed in violation of U.N. policies that we never miss an opportunity to accuse other's of?

Nope, it is clearly a term that has more to do with marketing than accuracy. It makes the actions taken unilaterally more palatable and is designed to promote jingoistic fanatical feelings of support.
