Hi all,

I live in San Francisco and am looking to meet with others who would like to do something to remove our troops from Iraq. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Here is what I have tried so far, with little to no success:

- I have formed a group on Meetup.com: http://occupationfr.meetup.com/3/
Surprisingly, prior to creating this group, a search on meetup.com for "Iraq" yielded zero results. I created this group yesterday and am hoping for a couple of responses. I crossposted on Craigslist.
- I have posted a separate listing on Craigslist local to my neighborhood and got 0 responses.
- I have suggested to the Chomsky Book Club that I am a part of that we take some sort of action.
- Joined the World Can't Wait and A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition mailing lists.

Any ideas on how I can get together with people that share my desire to do something about the Iraq War?

The best thing you can do to stop the war, is frog march Dick Cheney from the White House into a police van.

The protest movements around here don't impress me too much. You'd be better off joining and being active in the current movements rather than starting your own movement. Too many cooks spoil the broth. Just read the calendar in the Gaurdian and theres meetings happening all the time. Just take your pick.
