I don't suppose metal is too popular around here but nevertheless...
Truth be told the album let me down a bit, mostly because Mustaine lays it on quite thick: There's a difference between expressing opinions about contemporary affairs in an artistic way, and spouting oversimplified statements and pass it on as smart lyrics, and Dave Mustaine needs to learn it. Quite frankly, it sounds as if he had stumbled in here, picked up some posts verbatim and tried to sing them, which sounds as awkward as one would expect.
It's hard to value the comment when it's grinding down the feeling and the beat of a song to a halt, and that's pretty much what he does in every single song (except Gears of war, and that feels like he lifted it off Iron Maiden but I digress).
Contrary to what I expected from the buzz, the music is actually decent but you need to drone out the lyrics to have any measure of enjoyment.
