I am rather surprised that I have not seen FDR post about the good old ingredients to make ( not yellowcakes) a good propaganda. I offer some ways to follow if you are a powerful imperialism, since the process shows that it has to face war. Yet, better jaw-jaw than war-war…

But, first, a brief view about what’s frightening about you :
-Will of power (esp. in declining economy)
-Ideology of preventive war
-Religion and politics hand in hand

Now, let’s go : to make a good propaganda you need
- an appropriate terminology, accourding to your background, let’s say you are Anglo Saxons, and for instance, insist on God and your Right, sounds perfect, esp. if you know it has been improved long ago (originally God Is my Right). Go back to the antiquity, check that the argument is known since time immemorial and never failed. Religion, civilization, democracy as a gift of God. Perfect line.
- Unbalanced forces : you can choose non-conventionnal weapons, powerful army (let’s imagine it’s the 4th in the world) of ammoral soldiers, twist, exagerate, if needed let’s say you are David, he’s Goliath
- Add atrocities of any kind. The more systematic, the better.
- Then, add again expansionism, start to mix and let it aside for a while, so that it doubles in public opinion.
- By now, you just call him…Saddam, no last name required, show your disrespect
- Bake it
- On top, an icing of fanatism and terrorism will make you anxious to taste it

Those who don’t want to taste it are cowards, they should know that if they don’t eat a piece of your cake, they will end up in a kitchen with a cook from München who poisoned people before.

The show-this hide-that system can have its failures, so of course, nothing forbides to have some imagination. Vietnam, Corea, Iraq, Kosovo. The problem with inspiration is that it comes and goes. As long as the reader is moved enough by the realistic fallacy, everything is alright, even if he doesn't like the story. Anyway he will soon forget the feeling in a floating memory. That's the best part !

The mega-twist. Intellectually insulting. You are comparing every now and there anything and everything to WWII, which on the one hand you made a myth (People are dreaming hystory in this issue as on many others), and on the other you use conveniently to quickly label any autoritarian opponent. That fulfills the circle. I call that an attempt to square the circle. Justifies an overwhelming military budget directly required by the new economy to stay leaders. Why don't we all drop the debt ? Because it is power. And it's so easy to suddendly realise that autoritarian oppress a part of their people. That's a bit what we helped them to do, for our best. And we stop to support for our best, not theirs.
Get what you desverve, or more fashionably, get what you paid for. In no case except in front of a computer WYSIWYG fully operates.
