Imagine what might happen if the government declared a war on junk food in response to rampant obesity. Black market gangs like the Ice Cream Crew and the Praline Possee would have gun battles on the street. Cops would be charged with corruption for donut possession. Liposuction and stomach stapling would be mandated by law.
JUNK is a riotous exploration of prohibition, using stories adapted from actual events in the drug war. Preliminary reviews are calling it a classic and comparing it to Mark Twain, Will Rogers and Kurt Vonnegut.
