Texas has decided to bring the issue of "Marriage" to the voters. The premise is that "Marriage" is to be defined as "the union of one man and one woman". Also that the government role in all this, is to support the previous. I have a problem with government being envolved at all, and that the general public would have anything to do with what couples do in their homes.

I think the next logical step, would be to outlaw "marriage" altogether, at least in the respect that government should have no role in human beings private affairs. The only way to ensure equality in this issue, is that noone be given authorative, legal control over another human- period. The whole premise of a marriage is the promise to stay and honor and be devoted to a single other. The execution of punishment for the failure to do so, lies with the laws, which the civil, and criminal courts must then enforce.

I am tired of having to support legal entities that place the role of enforcement on the general public. Tax dollars should not be used to make criminals out of people solely because they are human.

With the divorce rate as high as it is, there is no warranted need for such laws, (Marriage is a dying institution and just benefits lazy, greedy women who dont want to work for a living) the existence of laws governing legal partnerships, should suffice to protect ones' investment in others.

Now I can't even find a quality family show for my children before bed. I would bring up what the bible says about homosexuallity, but I think that should be common sence, because the only way to bring about life is with a man and a woman. And finally, Lady, if you ever had children, which I can tell you don't, you would know that anyone that takes time from a career to love and nurture her children [U]is the farthest thing in the world from lazy. I was wondering, perhaps you could explain it to me exactly how hearth and home are threatened by the prospect of gay folks being allowed to marry? This is an argument I have a devil of a time trying to grasp.

Several points-

If you need to sit your kids down in front of the TV before bed-you suck as a parent- assuming you are a parent- TV is not a good substitute for living!

Second I have a wonderful 15 year old daughter- she does not need to watch TV before bed, and we can select what we watch- like NGC, History channel, HGTV, there are plenty of good- productive- educational- if not prgressive shows- your only limited by your ability to be resourceful and or creative with your time with your kids (what does this say about what you are lacking cognitively?)- we would rather be outside taking care of our animals or building something, though I have to admit I give her time on the PC, and support- if not promote her artisitic endeavers.

Third, you are backwards and wrong, you dont need a man and a woman to produce life- Backwards thinking- Historical antiquated crank! Where have you been the last 100 years- stuck on stupid!, stuck on believing everything your preached!

And finally, and most important, I think any law that makes someone a slave to another person is wrong!!! Religous contracts should not be re-inforced by federal laws!

The only reason married folks need a document to keep someone with them, is because they know their significant other would leave thier stupid- unworthy- sorry asses!

If your spouse is going to leave you- nothing- I dont care how how you define it, will keep your spouse with you- ever heard of divorce and annullments?

Ill send you a dollar and you can buy yourself a clue, or at least how much can we pay you, to go read you bible for the rest of your life and be happy in your faith! That way when you are all alone with your marriage certificate, you will be happy to know that Homosexuals dont have the same benefit of being left with a paper and your belief structure-

We also consider this quality family time. You see, mosts of us reds believe that this time together, with a mother and a father, makes for a stronger family unit.

Here's one that baffels me. How has science worked around in the past 100 years making a life,(which begins at conception), without a man-sperm, and a woman-egg. Because even if you put them together in a dish, one is just a cell without the other.

And last, I think you need some counseling. You have alot of anger. I know it scares what I would call non-believers, that there could be the possibility that the bible and faith are right, and that when it says that to men should not lay together, you might want to listen. I had no part in the electoral process of TEXAS. The People of Texas have
made it abundantly clear..... they do not want GAY Marriage !! You got a

agree with the vast majority in Texas on the subject of Gay Marriage. I do
not think it is appropriate. There is NO right or wrong answer on the subject.
