There's a good chance, if this film by Lars von Trier comes to your town, that you will read or hear a review that calls it arrogant, anti-American, or even offensive. If you do, get a second opinion: your own. You will not see another film like this one anytime soon, nor will you often be moved this far out of your political comfort zone, out to a place where a conscience can take deeper root. I should add, almost as a footnote, that the movie also manages to be entertaining once you tune into its style of storytelling.
