Christian YWAM $$$ behind PT911

"The $40M question that's been bugging me has been "who paid for this crapola?" And I think I've found the answer.

It's the Christian organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM), through their auxiliary - The Film Institute (TFI). Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, is the father of PT911 director David Cunningham.

Follow me over the flip for more stuff!

bewert's diary :: ::
I was led to this by a comment from everhopeful and I am ever hopeful we can shitcan this crapola hit piece.

YWAM members Mark and Krista Harris commented on their website:

As we have looked around, we've noticed a lot of big-mouthed giants running around, but not many young warriors brave enough to stake everything on God.

So that's what we've decided to do. Starting in July, along with our 'normal' discipleship efforts in YWAM, we will officially join The Film Institute - a new auxiliary branch of Youth With A Mission focused on tranforming film and television from the inside out. TFI's first project is a doozy: simply being referred to as: The Untitled History Project, it is already being called the television event of the decade and not one second has been put to film yet. Talk about great expectations!

Our goal is to help filmmakers, actors, technicians, etc. realize their God given potential and purpose in perhaps the most influential sphere of modern culture - film and television.

The "Untitled History Project" was the working title, as this Fox story shows. It was produced by in Toronto by UHP Productions. This quote from writer Cyrus Nowrasteh is particularly rich:
"Anything about 9/11 will be controversial," he said. "I commend ABC because they have continually asked me to be as truthful and honest as I can be. The producers have made every effort to be objective and tell the story truthfully -- because that's what the subject matter, and our audience, deserves."
This article from Hamilton (a city near Toronto) even has the publicists phone number:
UHP Productions Ltd.
Contact Phone:
(416)778-8454
And from the site YWAM Founders Site we get:
Mark Harris spoke following Braulia and showed a DVD clip by film director David L. Cunningham, who together with others has formed a YWAM auxiliary called The Film Institute (TFI). One goal of TFI is to fast-track UofN School of Digital Film interns, placing them within the film industry, not to give them jobs, but so that they can begin to impact and transform Hollywood from the inside out.

I'm trying to dig up more, but a lot has been scrubbed...thank god for Google!"

"Is a "spooky" CULT behind "The Path to 9/11"?
Someone funneled $40 million (that's the figure currently being mentioned) to Disney in order to broadcast a lying mockudrama on the ABC network -- sans commercials or any known sponsor. Who?

The impetus -- and perhaps the cash -- seems to have come from a bizarre Christian cult called Youth With a Mission (YWAM), founded in the 1960 by Loren Cunningham, father to David Cunningham, the film's director. A fine researcher over at Democratic Underground found a page linked to YWAM which inlcuded a very revealing paragraph:

Starting in July, along with our 'normal' discipleship efforts in YWAM, we will officially join The Film Institute - a new auxiliary branch of Youth With A Mission focused on tranforming film and television from the inside out. Question?

If you mix subliminal "christian" messages in with the usual Hollywood porn and violence, does that make someone a christian?

Wouldn't it be great if:

the "deranged, deluded & violent radical Christians"

could wage "war" for their God

with

the "deranged, deluded and violent radical Islamics"

without

- involving all the rest of us

and

- slaughtering innocents in the process.

Truly these two groups deserve each other.

I have noticed that pagan religions generally were peaceful whereas monotheistic religions have been violent. Many people who hear the word pagan jump first to the idea that paganism equates to blood sacrifice. Most pagan religions did not practice any form of sacrifice, but were, rather, nature worshipers historically, not dissimilar to today's Wiccans. It appears to me that the gods from which monotheism is derived were aliens. It seems to me that worship of the grandure and the awe of life in nature is the true worship of God.

This is proof that the Christian Reich intends to use any means to revise history in there image, including BS like this movie. It sounds like the YMWM isn't satisfied with televangelists calling for the death of world leaders, or FOX so called News spreading misinformation, they need to have a propaganda wing to manipulate the masses, one that will affect every aspect of the media. Call me paranoid but I think these people want to do what Hitler and Stalin did and that was to censer art to make sure that any hint of freedom of thought is taken out of artistic endevers even if the art becomes crappy propaganda. Wait a minute, that is what has happened to the popular media via the corperations. The next thing you know we will be seeing documentaries esposing the merits of 'intelligent design.' Sorry, but these people will do anything to achieve power and that scares me.
