I have an idea. If Bush and the neocons are so commited to democracy why don't we let the Iraqis have a referendem of whether or not THEY want us there. If they believe in self-determination then it shouldn't be a problem. Of course, I would hope we would let objective observers in to make sure the election is fair...
I doubt Bush would ever consiter this because then he could no longer pretend that we are liberators and not a foregn army of occuption.

Hey JRW, if you study where the "neo-cons" came from, Henry "Scoop" Jackson, Leo Strauss, etc. their use of the word "democracy" is just a recycled use of what Leon Trotsky called "permanent revolution".

I think the US is more in need of partial obvsers. ;)
