Hi all, just wanting to get a picture of the nation from your part of the country in terms of how the Rove/RNC is coordinating the congressional races.
Out here, Richard Pombo is running really stupid attack ads saying that his opponant is an "appeaser of terrorists" by "not wanting to use military force against rogue terrorist states like North Korea.":blah:
Its good that he feels threatened enough to actually campaign, but its typical BS stuff. sheesh.

In the House District 32 race here in South Texas, incumbent Republican Gene Seaman is up against Democrat Juan Garcia. Seaman's recent TV ads have taken to calling Garcia a "liberal Democrat" several times over the course of the ad, accusing Garcia of being against lawsuit reform (among other things). Seaman has also taken to "Swift boating" Garcia's military record, stating. "He's not a fighter pilot, he never flew jets, he flew P-3s. He is not a fighter pilot even though he takes his picture behind a jet." Neither Garcia nor his campaign staff have claimed that Garcia was a "fighter" pilot although the P-3 is a combat aircraft. Garcia himself could not respond to the charge as at the time Seaman was running his mouth, Garcia (13 years an active duty naval aviator) was serving his annual active duty requirement.
Turns out that Houston homebuilder Bob Perry, who donated big cash to the swift boat liars, recently donated $10,000 to Gene Seaman
