Common Cause is requesting all U.S. citizens to e-mail Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida, for a Sarasota vote recount for Congressional District 13 where 18,000 votes were lost on electronic vote machines that had no verifiable paper ballot back-up:

Thank you for starting a thread about this particular race, Jennifer. That happens to be the district where I live. That Congressional race really got messed up. As you mentioned, about 18,000 votes weren't showing up for that particular race in Sarasota County. That would have meant that about 13% of voters chose not to vote in that race. Yet, in surrounding counties in the same district the undervote was usually between 2-3%. Also, the absentee ballots in Sarasota County--the ones on paper-- were showing an undervote of only 1.8%. The electronic machines were showing that more people voted in the race for hospital board than for U.S. House of Representatives! In addition, Democratic candidate Christine Jennings said after the election that a lot of people were calling her campaign office saying that their votes in that race weren't showing up on the ballot summary screen while they were voting on the machines. Another interesting thing to note is that George W. Bush and Laura Bush each made separate trips to Sarasota the week before the election to campaign for the Republican candidate Vern Buchanan. It looks like they really wanted him to win. Altogether something's wrong with this. Either there are some serious malfunctions with the voting machines or this election is getting stolen.
