Hi, fellow lefties. I love this site and its mission.
Let me begin my apologizing for beginning with blatant self-promotion. I invite you to visit www.liberalquotes.net where you can subscribe to a free weekly mailing of liberal quotations or check out my recently published book modestly titled “The Best Liberal Quotes Ever: Why the Left is Right.” I'd appreciate your feedback on the quotes or your suggestions on quotes for the next edition. Thanks.
Welcome L.
I hope you come back often and contribute because our intention is to give birth to a whole new generation of great liberal qoutes right here.

Does your website have multiple Kerry quotes on the same issue? If so, I'm signing up.
I bought the book. It's both entertaining and thought-provoking.

My site www.liberalquotes.net does not have very many quotes. It's mostly a place to sign up to receive weekly liberal quotes or find out about the book, "The Best Liberal Quotes Ever." The book has several good Kerry quotes.

I'd think a better form of self promotion would be to come in and share a liberal quote once a week or once a month. It would seem friendlier, each quote by itself would arouse far more curiosity about the book and the other quotations rather than the curiosity about which way you actually lean - to the left or to the right. And bear in mind, I'm not suggesting you give away the store. You could check Time and Newsweek once a week and give us a liberal quote from one of them each week.

"In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants."
~ Lewis Black
We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore
Lewis is way off on that example of de-evolution. Kennedy had the charisma that Gore didn't. Intellectually, Al Gore was a step up from Kennedy and every other President in my lifetime.

What would be your definition of a "Liberal"

George Bush says, 'Gore's book needs a lot of explaining.' Of course, Bush says that about every book.
Bill Maher
President Bush is supporting Arnold but a lot of Republicans are not, because he is actually quite liberal. Karl Rove said if his father wasn't a Nazi, he wouldn't have any credibility with conservatives at all.
Bill Maher
The country has become much more conservative, partly because it's been taken over by the religious right.
Bill Maher
The Dalai Lama visited the White House and told the President that he could teach him to find a higher state of consciousness. Then after talking to Bush for a few minutes, he said, "You know what? Let's just grab lunch."
Bill Maher
The House okayed the gasoline tax cut, which will increase the deficit, line the pockets of the oil companies, and hurt the environment; Dole said that if there was just some way this could interfere with people's sex lives, it would be perfect legislation.
Bill Maher
The president boasted at the top of his press conference that we have the support now of Britain and Spain for our attack on Iraq. You know, when you want to make it perfectly clear to the world that you're not an imperialist, the people you want in your corner are Britain and Spain.

being an intellectual doesnt indicate ones ability to be a leader. In fact, it mostly hinders it....remember Carter???
